Resort Activities
The BALSAMS offers all sorts of amenities to our guests, from outdoor adventures to conveniences inside the Resort. See below for detailed information.
ATM: Located near the main lobby.
Boat Rentals: Paddleboats, canoes, kayaks, and row boats are all available lakeside, and are complimentary to registered guests.
Church Services: A list of local churches & service times is available at the Front Desk.
Dining: The Dining Room serves Breakfast & Dinner year-round, Lunch in the summer. The Tavern is open for food service from Noon until 8:00 P.M. Seasonally, the Panorama Grille, Pool Bar, and the Base Lodge also have a la carte menus for Lunch & Snacks.
Fitness Center:
A modern, full-service facility is available on the lower level. Open from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily. Children under 16 must be supervised.
Flowers:
Available for all occasions, centerpieces, corsages, roses & party arrangements. Contact the Front Desk for ordering information.
Golf: One championship 18-hole Donald Ross designed course, and one executive, 9-hole course. Please see our Golf Information.
Hair Salon: On property, for men, women & children. Walk-Ins are welcome, but appointments are strongly recommended.
Hiking: Ask for a trail map in the Mountain Bike Center. Miles of trails with stunning mountain vistas, wildlife & waterfalls.
Ice Skating: Outdoors, complimentary rentals for registered guests.
Irons: Available in each room.
Laundry & Dry Cleaning: Laundry recieved by 9:00 a.m. will be returned the same day. Dry Cleaning is also available, pick-up & delivery occurs Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Massage: Therapeutic massage services are available through the Spa, by appointment.
Mountain Bikes: Rentals & trail maps are complimentary to registered guests.
Notary Public / Justice of the Peace: Available upon request. Please see the Front Desk.
Pool: A large outdoor heated pool sits lakeside with lifeguards and waterfront attendants on duty during operating hours. There is also a poolside cabana bar for a refreshing mid-afternoon treat.
Pets: The BALSAMS is now Pet- Friendly! For a fee of $25 per pet, you will find a pet bed, food & water dishes, and more to make your furry friend's stay more comfortable. Pet Friendly Policy & More Information
Safe Deposit Boxes: Complimentary to registered guests. Available at the Front Desk.
Shipping Services: Federal Express, UPS, and USPS are all available for shipping items Monday through Friday, to and from The BALSAMS. Please call 1-877-225-7267 for more details.
Shopping: The BALSAMS offers 4 unique shops, stocked with gifts, apparel, candy, and more.
Skiing: Alpine & Nordic skiing are both available on property. Please see our Nordic Skiing Information or Alpine Skiing Information
Snow-Shoeing: Miles of groomed trails, complimentary rentals to registered guests.
