Watchable Wildlife Corridor
Route 26 from Errol to Colebrook, New Hampshire through Dixville Notch is a nationally designated "Watchable Wildlife Corridor" - the only such highway east of the Mississippi. Viewing stations for watching moose and peregrine falcons in their natural habitats are positioned along this corridor on and near The BALSAMS estate.

U.S Fish & Wildlife Conservation Area Visitors' Center
Located on the Androscoggin River near the American bald eagle nesting site on Lake Umbagog.
Poore Family Homestead
A restored family farm and homestead dating back to the 1820s. Antique farm machinery and household items paint a vivid picture of farm life in the 19th century. Located 7 miles north of Colebrook on Route 145.
45th Parallel
A few miles from The BALSAMS on scenic routes 145 and 3 are historic markers indicating the 45th Parallel, which marks the latitude equidistant from the North Pole and the Equator.
Magnetic Hill
A legendary phenomenon located just over the New Hampshire and Quebec border. Cars facing a downhill highway mysteriously roll backwards up the hill when in neutral gear.
