THE NATURE CONSERVANCY & BALSAMS GRAND RESORT HOTEL ANNOUNCE GROUNDBRAKING PARTNERSHIP FOR CONSERVATION

The Balsams Grand Resort Hotel, a historic destination resort, has joined forces with The Nature Conservancy, a global nonprofit conservation organization, in the protection of nature and preservation of life in New Hampshire. This is the first time either organization has entered into such an agreement.

Rich with New Hampshire history, The BALSAMS Grand Resort Hotel first opened just after the Civil War as the DIX HOUSE -- a rustic and charming 25-room summer inn established by local innkeeper, George Parsons. The original inn honored the name of the town’s founding father and first landowner, Colonel Timothy Dix.
